We strongly recommend that you use a smartphone and download the Pillur app from the App Store or Google Play. Our app will allow you on-the-go access to most of Pillur business banking features, including the ability to make mobile deposits and receive authentication for one-time passcodes (OTPs) on your phone.

However, if you don’t have a smartphone, you can bank with Pillur from a computer or tablet.

Yes! As a Pillur member, you have access to all MSUFCU ATMs, plus any of the 30,000+ ATMs within the CO-OP network, without a fee from us. Additionally, you can withdraw funds at any Pillur or MSUFCU branch location at no cost.

Cash can also be withdrawn from virtually any other ATM worldwide (subject to additional charges) or at a merchant that allows cash-back transactions using your Pillur Visa® Business Debit Card.

Account Opening and Setup

The Pillur routing number is 072486908.

Your Pillur business banking account number is available in Online Banking and your Pillur app. To find your account number:

  1. Log into Online Banking or the Pillur mobile app.
  2. Choose your Business Checking account and switch from Transactions to Details view.
  3. Tap or click the “eye” icon to reveal your complete account number.

Your account number can also be found on your monthly statement.

If you have trouble locating your account number, please call (833) 533-0678 for assistance.

Once your account is approved, you will receive an email to enroll in Online Banking. Follow the enclosed link, then tap or click Enroll Now to begin.

Once you’ve enrolled and created your username and password, download the Pillur app to bank on the go. The Pillur app is available for both iOS and Android devices. Follow the links below to install your app today.

We use your Social Security number to help verify your identity as the person opening a new Pillur business banking account. Additionally, if you are a sole proprietor, you can use your Social Security number instead of your EIN/TIN when asked.

In many cases, your Pillur business banking account can be opened and functioning in as little as one business day after we’ve reviewed your personal identification and business documents.

Once it’s open, fund your account by ACH or an external transfer, making a mobile deposit, or scheduling a direct deposit.

You’ll receive your Pillur Business Debit Card within 7-10 business days. Once it arrives, activate your card (and create your PIN) within Online Banking or the Pillur app.

We’ve made it easy to fund your new Pillur business checking, business savings, or money market account during the account opening process. Once your account is open, you can fund your account by ACH or an external transfer, making a mobile deposit, or scheduling a direct deposit.

Deposited checks received before 4 p.m. ET will post the same day, barring any potential holds on funds. ACH funds are made available within 4 p.m. ET business days.

Yes. Transfers can be scheduled to pay at any time in the future and can also be set up to pay on a recurring schedule. Certain restrictions apply to the type and frequency of transfers when future-dated.

To verify an external account, simply enter your username and password from the external financial institution, then follow the instructions shown on your screen.

Business checks can be ordered online at Shop Deluxe or by calling (800) 865-1913 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

Account Security

Yes, your business funds are safe at Pillur.

At an account level, we offer several features to protect your business finances:

  • User Entitlements allow you (or someone you choose) to delegate cash management activities related to your Pillur business account without giving up account control and security.
  • Positive Pay lets us verify every check presented against pre-submitted details, like check number and amount, to prevent fraudulent checks from draining your business account.
  • ACH Positive Pay works similarly to check Positive Pay. Once you submit details of authorized ACH transfers (payments or debits) to us, we’ll verify each attempted ACH transaction against your list, helping prevent unauthorized withdrawals.

Pillur accounts are held at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union where savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the NCUA and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.

First. change your Online Banking username and password and enable Text Alerts if you haven’t done so already. Next, go to Online Banking or use your Pillur app to lock your debit card and prevent unauthorized transactions. Finally, call our Member Support team at (833) 533-0678 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays) to review your account.

At Pillur, we take your account security seriously. If you suspect fraud, call our Member Support team at (833) 533-0678 as soon as possible. If you prefer, send us a secure message within Online Banking. Remember to include a detailed description of any fraudulent activity that’s taken place.

You can prevent debit card transactions by locking your card when you’re off the grid or if you lost your card. Tap or Click Manage Cards in the More menu of Online Banking or your Pillur app.

No—just enable Foreign Transactions within Online Banking or the Pillur app to ensure your transactions go through.

You can pause savings contributions or remove money from a Savings Goal anytime.

Invoicing and Payments

Yes! Our invoicing feature allows you to send invoices directly through Pillur Online Banking.

Your business can send custom invoices to clients through Pillur Online Banking. Here’s how it works:

Online Banking:

  1. Click Invoices, on the left side of your screen.
  2. Click the + New Invoice / Quote button.
  3. Choose the business and client the invoice is for.
  4. Complete the invoice, add a custom note or any files you’d like to attach. Then click Next.
  5. Select how you’d like to receive payment, then Save and Send if you’re ready to invoice your client at that time.

Pillur offers ACH transfers — a great way for your business to digitally exchange money:

  • ACH (Automated Clearing House): Think of ACH transfers like sending a check electronically. They use a network to process batches of transactions, so they can take 1-3 business days to complete.

You can also use Bill Pay (within Online Banking) to schedule and pay your bills from your computer, tablet or, mobile phone.

Yes! Our invoicing feature allows you to send weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or yearly invoices through Online Banking or the Pillur app.

In addition to helping you create and send invoices, Pillur helps you automatically track expenses, mileage, and taxes.

  • Mileage Tracking: Automatically track your miles using your phone’s GPS (background friendly). Categorize work trips to calculate tax deductions.
  • Income Tracking: Connect your business accounts (like Uber or PayPal) for automatic income tracking and labeling.
  • Expense Tracking: Ditch the paper! to track your business expenses and eliminate receipt headaches automatically!
  • Tax Estimation: Pillur provides estimates for federal, state, and self-employment taxes based on your income and expenses. Stay informed and manage your finances with ease.
Log in to Online Banking, then choose Bill Pay. You can pay bills and send money to anyone with a U.S. bank account without fees.
Mobile Remote Deposit Capture is a way to process payments without sending paper checks to your bank or credit union. All you have to do is take photos of the checks you’ve received using the Pillur app and send them to us for deposit.
Desktop Remote Deposit Capture is a way to process payments with your laptop or desktop computer, a scanner, and special software to capture digital images of each check. It’s perfect for businesses with frequent check deposits, higher volume deposits, or a need for potentially higher quality image capture.

User entitlements allow you (or someone you choose) to delegate cash management activities related to your Pillur business account without giving up account control and security.

Pillur lets you set up custom account permissions (like paying bills, transferring money, sending ACH payments, and wiring funds) and spending limits for individual business account users or groups – then review, approve, or edit them from your app or within Online Banking.

Absolutely. As automated cash-management services used to match checks initiated by businesses with those it presents for payment, Positive Pay and ACH Positive Pay are essential in fighting fraud and keeping businesses like yours from losing money.

Bill Pay allows you to easily manage and automate your business’s outgoing payments. It acts like a central hub for all your bills, streamlining the process compared to writing checks or manually entering payments on individual websites—and it keeps you on schedule regardless of slow mail service. Open your Pillur app or Online Banking, choose Pay & Transfer, and schedule your recurring bills to be paid automatically!

First, visit Online Banking or use your Pillur app to lock your card and prevent unauthorized transactions.

Next, call our Member Support team at (833) 533-0678 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays) to order a replacement debit card.

You can use your debit card worldwide—anywhere Visa® is accepted. If you’re traveling internationally, simply switch on Foreign Transactions in the Manage Card section in Online Banking or your Pillur app.
You may change your PIN in Online Banking or your Pillur app. Tap or click Manage Cards in the More menu.
